Dogecoin Co-Founder Has High Hopes for Elon Musk’s New AI Venture

Dogecoin (DOGE) co-founder Billy Markus, also known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto on Twitter, has shown enthusiasm for billionaire Elon Musk’s new artificial intelligence (AI) project: xAI. This week, the tech mogul launched the project as a means of competing with chatbot ChatGPT, an AI tool created by OpenAI in 2015.

Purpose of xAI Project

Musk said that the purpose of his project is to “understand reality.” He elaborated this vision further in a Twitter Spaces event on Wednesday morning, saying that instead of overtly programming morality into the artificial intelligence, he plans to make it “maximally curious” so that it remains safe.

Billy Markus Response

In response to Musk’s announcement, Markus commented on Twitter: “This is gonna be really interesting, especially with it being trained on Twitter. I hope I can put it on ‘internet keyboard warrior’ mode and have pointless arguments with it.”

Musk Warnings About Artificial Intelligence

Previously, Musk had warned that AI could one day cause “civilizational destruction,” according to Reuters reports. His current project aims to prevent such destruction by making sure his creation is pro-humanity rather than contravening humanity’s best interests.
